Every December, to celebrate International Volunteer Day, Team Malasakit gathers nationwide for an extraordinary display of malasakit on what's become One Good Deed Day.Without even knowing it, Food Group HR Manager Gerry Olayta started a tradition in 2015. From a one-day feeding program scattered in his area of North Luzon, OGDD has since evolved into a massive volunteerism movement for San Miguel employees.Through OGDD, we make volunteerism deeply personal, spreading malasakit the San Miguel way.

Malasakit is everywhere and you don't have to wait for an open slot at our Better World communities to do a good deed. Create your own One Good Deed Day and we'll count you in!
Here are some good deeds you can do
Tutor underprivileged kids
Spend the day at a senior center
Bring gifts to children in hospitals or orphanages
Give meals to the homeless
Plant a community garden
Feed stray animals or visit pet shelters
Join a relief effort
Donate clothing and essentials to underprivileged communities
Host a feeding program
Donate blood at hospitals or health centers
Let us count you in!
Every act of malasakit helps, and we want to make sure your efforts are included in this year's One Good Deed Day. Tell us all about your own OGDD by:
Planning your volunteer activities from November 22 to December 31, 2025;
Making sure that at least one San Miguel employee is part of the volunteer activity;
Taking note of how many volunteers, activity hours, beneficiaries, any amount of money donated (if applicable), and quantity of items donated (if applicable);
Documenting your volunteer activity with photos and videos;
Sending all these information and documentation to your Team Malasakit Coordinator on or before December 26, 2025 for reporting. Activities done after the initial deadline will still be counted for a later reporting.
MalasaKITs
Creating MalasaKITs has become a beloved tradition among Team Malasakit volunteers and our Better World community members. Create a MalasaKIT, or donate funds that will allow our volunteers to create one for our communities!
Create your own MalasaKIT
Be someone's Santa and put together a MalasaKIT worth at least P800!Each MalasaKIT contains ingredients to create a Noche Buena of spaghetti and fruit salad for our Better World community members.
What's in a MalasaKIT?
Turn over your MalasaKITs to your Team Malasakit coordinators or HR representative on or before December 12, 2025.
Donate to fund a MalasaKIT
If you can't make your own MalasaKIT, you can donate in denominations of P800 to the official San Miguel Foundation account. Every P800 will be used to assemble more MalasaKITs so none of our Better World community members go home empty-handed.
